A couple months ago I asked about installing a power beyond on a 7030 and was told it is possible to do it by accessing the passages in the remote valves by drilling holes to them in the rectangular end plate.  My question is, which passages are the pressure, return and sensing?

#4 or #5 are the signal lines to the pump compensator. Choose one of them for signal.  #3 is pump output flow which will vary from 400 to 2500 psi and zero to 23 GPM flow depending on the signal.  My service book isn't very helpful finding the return to sump passage on the remote valve bodies. You have to use a "closed center" type power beyond valve with a signal line. The return line I don't see how to do that short of just returning thru the lower sight glass hole or tapping into the plate above the drawbar under the PTO gears. I"m not so sure return couldn't go thru #1 or #2 but that valve on the end of the stack would have to be in float, so that wouldn't work very well.

Would you know what threads are on the sight glasses?  I imagine it will be something I will be unable to find in steel.  I don't like going under the tractor with a hose to the plate above the drawbar.  Just another hose to get caught on something down there.

I think it's just Oring boss fitting size. You are using a "closed center" with signal power beyond valve, right ??

Haven't gotten the valve yet.  Any recommendations?

That's good news on the sight glass.  I deserve a break.  Getting the old girl like I want her is taking much more time than I figured but it is coming along.  I will have a darn good tractor eventually.

I don't know what you are trying to accomplish. The main pump (variable volume/variable pressure/closed center) is capable of 23 GPM at full throttle when the tractor was new with a maximum pressure of 2500 psi. Whatever valve you buy must be capable of dealing with these specs. It CANNOT be an "open center" only type valve.

I just want to run a sprayer pump with it.  Max flow of the pump is 6 GPM but I am sure it will be less than that.  Looking at the owner's manual, it will be between 4.5-5 with the pressure and flow I am after.
