does anyone know the part number of the m&w sleeve that goes with the m&w ap48 piston?  i need to order a new set of rings.  i was looking at the hasting's site and they list rings by the sleeve part number, not the piston part number.  i won't have the sleeve part number available until i take the engine apart, and i'd like to have the new rings ready when i take it apart.  thanks  alan

I ordered a set from Hastings about a month agoe for some M&W AP48 and AP48 pistons.

It's listed as part 2c7794  for the M&W pistons, gives the quantity and dimension of the rings included in the set.

Hang on to your wallet, the cost was about $140 for a set of rings.

I do not know what O rings to use on the sleves.  It's fairley skinney and flat.  The Mahle/ Clevelite sleves use a different O ring which is common and easy to order.

Sometimes these sleves are wore to bad to be usefull, bore gauge them, I've seen nice looking M&W sleves that were .018 taper and out of round.
