   I am working on one of those green and yellow things in it's indoor parking space. It is a 1969 gasoline powered 3020 John Deere loader tractor with Powershift that runs and operates very well. I don't know how many hours are on the engine that was rebuilt but it has not been used in an agricultural setting for many years by the prior owner. It was purchased primarily as a lawnmower and general yard chore tractor. The Deere loader is not bent or twisted and I believe the bucket is good. Both front spindles are upgrades and much heavier than the ones the tractor was built with. The Deere dealer installed these several years ago. There are two remotes at the rear and one is used for the loader assembly.
I only bring this up here because I know how people appreciate old tractors and it's not necessarily a brand loyal thing. This is a nice older tractor owned by the family I purchased my 11-B dozer from and we have become very good friends. I do a lot of work on their cars and equipment these days citing that friendship. I am only going to help sell the tractor. I have no skin in this game nor will profit from a sale.

They want this tractor to go to someone that will use and appreciate it. They will not be looking for the high dollar sale most people would; but it will take a fair offer to make purchase. The sheet metal is straight, the paint original, and the aluminum badging on the hood is not all dented up. The steering linkage is tight having new tie rod ends with the spindles and I believe the wheel bearings were replaced at that time also. I've not had anything apart but these will be checked over. It will need rear tires as they are severely dry rotted. They are 15.5-38 size and one rim is on it's last legs thanks to calcium chloride. The other side rim was replaced five or six years ago. Fronts are good condition and I think four rib Firestone. The tractor has not been moved, used, or started in four years now, but is kept inside the garage. It was replaced by a new tractor with a cab, HVAC, and front loader with quick attach everything. I think the loader frame is quick attach but don't believe the bucket is.

On a personal note, I've never seen this tractor used at all. They however don't question what I want to install, or perform on their equipment and don't really ask for any justification for the cost(s). They just want things right. I don't see this tractor maintained any differently than the track record I've seen.

	I wish it was closer. I have a friend that likes green paint and it would be going to a good home.

	So, a "69" model could have hydraulic levers on the dashboard (round muffler) or later on the right side-console hyd levers with an oval muffler.

	They are on the dashboard and it does have a round muffler. It really is a nice tractor. They are going to find the paperwork for the engine rebuild.

	Our TWP had one like that. Commissioner said PS took all the hp it had...made it useless. No idea how true.

	In John Deere's development of the 96 HP 4020 PShift tractor, they said it would match the 84 HP 4010 tractor on a plow, so yes, the Deere 8-speed power shift wasn't the best in drawbar performance compared to the stick tranny.

	They are digging this tractor out so I can retrieve it hopefully tomorrow. It has been setting a full six years in this same spot:

	Started this tractor last evening with a new battery and a little ether, she took right off running very smooth. The gasoline is several years old in the tank but it was stored full. I'm going to bring it back to my shop later this weekend, photo it heavy in as retrieved state, then give it a good bath and clean it up. Current owner is not against installing new rear tires before the sale and I'm going to ascertain whether the current LR rim is usable. Cursory glance looks as if it is but I'll know after blasting it clean. LF tire is showing some dry rot also. More to follow.

	Drove this tractor a couple thousand feet today and really nothing wrong with it at all. All eight speeds shift smoothly as do the reverse speeds. Three point and auxiliary remotes work well as does the loader through it's functions. Too wide for my car hauler trailer so had to leave it there but it will be easy to drive onto the deckover trailer later this week.
