Are there any other AC engines that will bolt up to the wc-wds? Has anybody here ever put a turbo on there W series allis?

The turbo question came up a few months back. There was someone offering kits to install a turbo on several popular tractors including the WD45. Seems like somone had one and it worked well.
Beyond that, I think it was also said that with the rear plate from a WD45 diesel you can drop in a 262 gas. I can't remember if the 301 would work with that same idea or not. If you have the ability or know a good machinist, a 292 Chevrolet inline 6 fits in there nicely too.

The chevy looks good in there. I thought about putting a straight eight in a wc, they are hard to come by. I was wondering if there are any Allis engines that will bolt right to the bell housing without an adapter plate, JM.
