The turbo question came up a few months back. There was someone offering kits to install a turbo on several popular tractors including the WD45. Seems like somone had one and it worked well.
Beyond that, I think it was also said that with the rear plate from a WD45 diesel you can drop in a 262 gas. I can't remember if the 301 would work with that same idea or not.
