Yesterday when I got my 6080 started, the brake oil level light stayed on. I've been looking for an original manual, but not yet been able to come across one to look this up. Can anyone help as to why this light remains on? If brake fluid is required, where do I add it at? As an FYI, the battery was dead and I had to jump start the tractor. Don't know if that is pertinent to the brake light issue, but mention it. Thanks, Dave

it takes hydraulic fluid, not brake fluid... left side of firewall... watch this movie..

Not hydraulic oil either. Not sure exactly what is recommended but not 821

some use Dextron or Type A transmission fluid as it is a 10 wt oil.... Many will use hydraulic/ trans fluid like 821... you just down want a 30 wt oil... Thin is good..

Disappearance of this brake fluid oil is an indication that the brake piston seals inside the rear axle housing are leaking. After 40+ years, this ain't the first time that has happened. So, you deal with the leakage until you can't stand it anymore.

technically you want 10w-10 oil as others said behind fire wall. Check your electrical connections first.

AGCO and NH both make a brake fluid designed for these as well, as they use the same Fiat rear end. As them for the mineral oil brake fluid. You can also find it labeled as LHM fluid.

Well, got the new battery in. Added a minute amount of fluid. Started right up and brake light not on, so assume it is all good. Still not sure what fluid is right to use, but put in such a small amount, not going to worry about it, I guess. Thanks for the comments. Dave

The light on mine would flicker, drove me nuts. Had the loader off so removed the panel, put in about a tablespoon of oil, problem solved.

I know that I had issues with the brake light on my 6080 when I got it. If flickered a bit and I looked into the proper fluid to add. I added fluid to bring it up to the line on the side and the light went out. While I had the top off, I noticed that the float didn't freely move up and down. The contacts on the float wouldn't always complete the circuit. Lately, I've had the light come on now and again. I am going to look more into the level and how to make the float switch work properly. Joe
