Saturday_06-June-2026 As Seen on Swan Pond Bottom Road Whitetail Deer under the New US127 Swan Pond Trestle We are sitting on Swan Pond Bottom Road on the East side of the new US127 Trestle looking South. The deer are between Trestle Piers #1 and #2 of five. Trestle Pier #4 is near the road on the South side; Trestle Pier #5 is behind us. 59-Photos Taken in 4-minutes and 14-seconds. The Big Fat Doe does not move a muscle other than to turn her head to watch the approach of the Lean Doe. Swan Pond Bottom - Russell County - Kentucky 36°52'36.06" North Parallel - 85° 9'30.94" West Meridian 685' Above Sea Level

Saturday_25-July-2026 As Seen on County Park Road Whitetail Doe and Two Fawns East side of County Park Road between Smith Ridge Road and Emerald Isle The second fawn stayed just far enough away that I could not get all three in a picture. Saturday_25-July-2026 As Seen on County Park Road Whitetail Doe East side of County Park Road between Smith Ridge Road and Emerald Isle; just down the road from the Doe and Fawns in the previous photos. As a whole, these Taylor County/Green River Lake Deer are not so healthy looking as our Deer around here. Our Deer are big as Quarterhorses and slick as moles; these Green River Deer, you can see their backbone and count every rib; it makes me wonder if they might be fighting some sort of Deer disease. Campbellsville - Taylor County - Kentucky 37° 17' 28.08" North Parallel - 85° 18' 4.52" West Meridian 860' Above Sea Level

Deer 1 You could hang your hat on those bony anorexic hips. Deer 2 Deer 3 Campbellsville - Taylor County - Kentucky West side of County Park Road at Emerald Isle. 37° 17' 9.81" North Parallel - 85° 18' 10.99" West Meridian 715' Above Sea Level Photos taken from a moving vehicle.

Good to know you have healthier deer than the ones pictured. I know many farmer think of them as long legged rats. But to me they are predictor food so wildlife does not get a taste for beef.

Saturday_25-July-2026 As Seen on County Park Road Two Whitetail Fawns Not sure what they are standing in; Cane, Millet, or Corn; the actual Corn fields are over-your-head high. It is a very narrow strip alongside the road, miles from any actual cropland; I suspect it has been purposefully planted here to attract the deer out in the open so travellers can see them. Note the big blood-filled Tick in the corner of that left eye. East side of County Park Road between Smith Ridge Road and Emerald Isle Campbellsville - Taylor County - Kentucky 37° 17' 24.16" North Parallel - 85° 18' 6.70" West Meridian 820' Above Sea Level

Saturday_22-August-2026 As Seen near Green River Dam Mama Deer and Two Baby Deer I am going to predict a Whitetail Deer population boom; I have seen more baby deer this summer than in all the years before combined. Lake Road - North of Green River Dam Spillway and Marina Fill Campbellsville - Taylor County - Kentucky 37°15'32.53" North Parallel - 85°20'45.82" West Meridian 791' Above Sea Level Photos taken Through the Windshield of a Moving Vehicle Telephotographic compression makes the curve in the road appear to be much sharper than it really is. |
