Tom...that looks great! are you going to use it to haul loads or just look nice? if hauling loads you need to leave on corner unbolted so when the gear meets uneven ground it will flex instead of breaking. and why is it...we all gots great sheds but build stuff outside?? I know..i'm the same way too!

Tom,
Awesome looking running gear. What is the deck going to be made from? I agree with Dale The front or back was always loose on hay racks. That would look real nice behind any Allis!:)

Thank you, it has come a  long way. Not that easy to find around here.

The stringers are 4x8 oak that i cut down and had milled on the property.
Ok, brace yourselves....
I 'm building a wood fired sauna on it. I saw one last year and it
made a lot of sense.
If you build a sauna at your house it doesn't help the
value. Except maybe to a few crack pot sauna people. So I can take it with me.
Also, not being a permanent structure exempts it from zoning regulations.

Regarding the point about not bolting one of the ends, wouldn't you want it
as tight as possible? Are hay wagons typically rigged that way?

Looking at this site makes me want a tractor.

The only ones that get bolted in all 4 corners have a rocking bolster on/over the front axle. Look at Parker 4000, 4800, and 5500 wagons on Tractor House. You'll be able to see what I'm talking about there.

At the bolsters at least put one bolt thru runner at front and back, diagonally works well. One bolt thru one runner at front, one thru other runner at rear. That allows for twisting over uneven ground.HTH Tracy
No greater gift than healthy grandkids!
