So this is what made my Allis's clutch not work. It broke some how and made the clutch inching spool not travel where it should for the clutch to disingage.
Can anyone tell me what the function of this stainless steel sheet metal fork is, why it ended up broken and how I could prevent it from happening again?
Thanks guys

They do that over time. I suppose the more the clutch pedal is used, the sooner it does it, like maybe a tractor that runs a round baler. You are not the first. It probably won't happen again for another 35 yrs.

glad to hear it wont happen again soon.
its going to be tricky for me to get that part in/to South Africa, so would it be possible maybe to make it myself? i would definitely need precise dimensions if i would try it?

Well, you'll surely need the 2 valve body gaskets and the inching spool seal and the shift lever shaft seal. What are you going to do about those ??

the gaskets ill have to make myself, using high pressure paper.
the 2 seals was still good beforehand and i will have to hope it'll stay that way for now.
i managed to get the dimensions i need. doc, what i do need to know is whether this fork fits snug into the valve housing groove, because it seems that way? (the 2 bents on the sides seems to make it fit snug?)

Rieg: hours?  27916

It just drops in the slot. The little handle sees that it is positioned correctly. I've been known to do things the hard way, but I cannot imagine making those two gaskets. Can't I simply UPS or mail you these parts ?? They would easily fit in a manila envelope.

Doc, if it don't work, I'm going to call you up on that offer!
Most companies won't ship to South Africa , so I stopped trying!
so it would help me allot if someone would go through the trouble of receiving and shipping parts like this, for me?
How obtainable are Allis part still in the USA?

I can have most AC parts overnite.  Some parts are no longer available, and then we improvise.

Hi doc.
Sorry for my late reply, but I'm so busy driving my Allis with all its improvised parts!
So far everything works just fine. Now I'll have to see how long everything will last.
While I was in the gearbox, I saw one gear-plate have wear on the spline teeth, so sometime in the future I will need to import some from the USA.So glad to hear that most parts are still out there. Thanks for your time, sir. Much appreciated
