By the way, does anyone know if the flexible hose between the air cleaner and air intake is still available?

Put two new hydraulic hoses on the 6080 loader then greased the support bearing on the crank and all of the loader. Was going to install a new air filter but way too nice of a day for that. Will do that sometime when the weather isn't as nice.

Got the NF 45 out to do it's thing moving stuff around. That thing is so handy I don't know how I'd get along without it! One of those things is the corn planter. Took the no-til coulters off and put trash-whippers on. Once done the 185 came out to get them set. Will probably finish getting the planter ready today. 6080 got a rare day off. If I have time today WD Micha may get the All Crop drill mounted. I just know I'm going to need to seed some grass somewhere! I may even drill some beans with it.

Think i'm going to get the 7' 200 disc out today and rework some waterways with the NF 45. Have a different guy spraying this year so maybe I won't have to do this next year? Got the drill mounted on WD Micha yesterday so the grass seed may go in the ground too. If I ever get caught up on things that WD is getting power steering. It has a broken quadrant spring on the hydraulic lever that is driving me crazy but seems like there is always something more important to do.

Spent the day raking leaves in the yard, walking by the tractor garage. I hate yard work but my late wife made me clean up every year before i could start fieldwork. Should be done this week.

Big brother Jim helped load the hopper many times so we could get some fertilizer on the fields before the forecasted rain on Saturday. What was supposed to be a predicted 1/2” of rain ended up being .01”. Not enough to do any good.

Last Saturday I took some of my tractor to a tractor pull. We got to play between rains. Watch my D10 at about 4.48 minutes. As there wasn't many tractors there due to impending rain, I didn't put as much weight out front as I could have, just to has some fun.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

I put the SC pallet forks on the WD. Right now there's a 10"x10"x10' locust gate post on it. Easier to dress up the top before it goes in the ground.

Chunked the D14 carb into a pail of Berrymans. Ran well but it ran best with idle screw turned fully in so something isnt right.
Really liking my new D14. Needed things, so I did things. More things to do but its a great start and not far from being a solid working tractor. |

Yesterday, I planted a tree... an anniversary present for my wife... she picked it out last week, I brought it home on trailer... used the backhoe attachment on the D17 to dig the new hole, which included ripping out most of a stump from the previous tree nearby... Then I placed the tree in the hole with the Kubota BX1800, and backfilled the hole with assistance of a good friend with a shovel, while I brought him a steady flow of black dirt with the Kubota. This morning, I went in for knee surgery... and I'm home now, and it feels MUCH better...

Dave you worked all the way up to surgery, that’s impressive. Hope your recover goes well. It took my wife about a year to recover from her to knee replacement, hope yours is quicker.

Mowed the yard at the farm including our river front property with our reliable 1952 CA. She has done this job for 30 years now.

Used the 919 to mow my yard this time, giving the 720 and 917 a break. Hate the color but it sure does mow well.

Hey Dirtfarmer, That's a pretty neat seat setup and way safer than sitting on the tool box or fender.
