Smoked my wd45 clutch. Pulled a 5 mph class and slipped it bad. 9 spring with stronger springs and a 6 pad disk. I do have a new organic disc at home. Will it hold up to say 70 or so hp. Going to have the flywheel turned.

3-pad disc will hold more than 4-pads.......4-pads will hold more than 6-pads. Fiber disc won't hold as much as 6-pads as a rule.

Does anyone know if there's a pressure plate from some other brand that will fit the WD 45 flywheel that has more than 9 springs?

Is there a valve spring that is stronger than the pressure plate springs.

Oh yeah when you run 1.5 od valve springs for aggressive camshaft ramp profiles you start destroying 9 spring pressure plates why I need a tweleve spring plate .

You can run a spring inside of the existing spring, if you are maxxed out on spring pressure. Beyond that, a second disk and floater plate will double clutch torque capabilities.

yup... I am running 65 HP at the PTO and i have a stock pressure plate with a semi ceramic 4 puck disk... very jumpy but it locks up. Never had a slip. Bob i think that is the way u should go unless you are going to go way bigger with your motor. Contact Steves Ag Diesel if i remeber right and he will set you up with the same disk i have.
