Howdy y’all, I recently purchased a D19 gas with a Marvel Schebler TSX848 carb. I rebuilt the carb and am now having issues with it dying when I push the choke off and the carb frosts after running for a few minutes. I’ve pulled it apart and checked everything over a few different times and can’t find any channels plugged or any leaks. Thanks for the help.

Open the main jet screw several turns. You shouldn't have to run with the choke on to keep it running.

Tried opening it tonight and it went 2 full turns then went to a rough idle and died
EDIT, took the screw out a couple more turns. And it runs like a top now Edited by 53D17 - 01 Mar 2023 at 4:59pm |

out 4 turns seems like alot you may have opened it enought to pash some junk through and you could possibly turn it back in a turn or two , as you will use alot of gas. right or wrong i was tuaght to rapidly go from idle to wide open throttle and turn it back in until their was alittle hesitation then open back just enought to make the hesitation go away when you whent from idle to wide open, and that would get the best power and fuel economy
