I seen this D19 propane today... the hand clutch seems soft, and didn't have a super over center snap either while just sitting there. Asked if the tranny was good and the fellow said he didn't know but it probably isn't. One tire already sold off it and got numbers all over it for salvage... but tractor is mostly complete yet... Cab is not anything worth speaking about. and no 3pt but has snap coupler arms on it. He has to have 2500 as it sits right now. Your thoughts wanted. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Something even worth thinking about? Thanks.

If I was with you, I'd grab your billfold hand and clamp it tightly in a vise.

JC -- not worth it. A running gasser recently sold for $1500.00. In the Years that I owned the fuel business, I had 1 man with a D19 LP. I was constantly filling it with lp from my truck. He lived about 4 miles from my plant. It was a good old workhorse, but I do not think you can purchase an overhaul kit for it. As stated $500 would be a load for that 1.

Tom, to bad that fellow didn't learn how to fill his D19 from his own tank...
Cabin Hollow, they just got it in yesterday and the rear wheel already went today... and
the manager figured $1600 on the engine because it suppose to run so
good (I didn't hear it run), you know how pullers like them LP engines
to run on gas... $500 on the sheet metal, $300 on the PS pump... Hundred bucks on the other rear wheel and thats his $2500... Macon, Go right ahead and post your thoughts... Thats what I put this up for... Doc, I was thinking I was foolish when I offered him 1500 just the way she sits at that moment...
and a few minutes later I walked out the door and realized I had 6
items of parts in my right hand and had only five items listed on the
receipt in the left hand... foolish old me turned back around and went
in and paid for the 6th item that cost 12 bucks more. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Wayne, that is probably a good discript of this one, "money pit"... Dang, always wanted a D17, D19, or an XT on propane.

Just bought a parts D 19 at auction in Iowa, used to be diesel, had a gas motor, missing parts at that, but it had good rear tires gave 1100.00 for it.
I guess depends if you need the parts or not. I would say more in the $1000.00 range for the tractor and it would be good to hear it run also. Also bought a D 19 propane that had paint job but did run good for $1600.00. |

If it's something you've always wanted you could offer him $2000 with the condition you can hear it run and drive first.

Just buy all the propane stuff off of that tractor and find a good running gasser that you can convert to LP.

DSeries4, D19 gas was 8-1 while the LPG was 9.65-1 compression ratio... and they probably would want to much just for the tank and all related LPG items. |

Better yet, let your wife hold your wallet, 😺😺 it will be harder for you to get at it than if it’s just in a vise. |

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

If there was any chance of restoring it at a reasonable price, that went away when he sold the wheel.
