We've been very fortunate for the past several years here with pretty good weather for growing crops. Now with all this rain the water has no where to go but up. It's strange to look across a field of corn and just see the tassels or no corn at all. I drove around and shot some video of the Ridott & Freeport area but this is by no means the worst of the flooding. Pearl City got hit with so must rain that the flooding engulfed the town and washed bridges out on main highway. At one point all 5 highways ( US 20, 26, 72, 73 & 75) were closed. We did a good bit of driving around when we used to come out to Ted's show and been on quite a few of those roads. We have had a LOT of rain in Central Ohio this summer but nothing like that.

Looks like a group were contemplating making a swim over to the flooded Cork Keg Liquor store. Looks like it is time to be a fish farmer Dennis!

I would be glad to take some of that water, not all of it, but at least a couple inches. I've had just under 15/100" since early June. May was wet so things could be worse but I'm really looking for the monsoons to start. County Fair starts next week and that usually makes it rain!

Sorry to hear of your problems. Like others, I wouldn't mind a little bit of that rain, but overall we're okay.

Southern Wisconsin is also having large amounts of water this spring and summer. The western side north and south of Lacrosse had flooding and the southeast area down by Racine and Kenosha. The areas in between also have too much. The guys that make haylage are on their 3rd crop and some who make dry hay haven't had a chance to finish 1st crop. Heard that a few people have started wheat and are getting combines stuck.

My sister lives just south of Rockford. Talked to her last Saturday & she said she's never seen the Rock River so high. Sandbagging & evacuations were going on in Byron, IL.

We had flooding last wed night thur. morning a week ago Ilive about 45 mi. north of La Crosse Wi. and work in Galesville no way i could get to work because of the flooding. 7-9 inches fell 10 mi south of us what a mess !

I've got some relatives that live near Byron, haven't heard how they're doing though. It's getting bad here in southern Iowa. Noah weather radio says we're seven inches below average rainfall for the year. The trees are starting to show it too. I've been digging post holes and there's no moisture for at least three feet down in the clay. Other places not far from us et a shower or a storm now and then but it doesn't know how to rain here anymore. I don't understand it. Good luck and be safe, Brad
