No split if you go about it right. So, the groove pin has worked out of its hole. Not common at all, but obviously has happened. Remove the cover and oil manifold on the right side where the brake latch pawl hangs from. You might want to unbolt the right platform and remove or at least lift it up higher. Let the brake pedals fall forward after unhooking rods and springs to get them out of the way. Looking inside with a good flashlite you will see what's going on. If the pin is missing, you need to get in there with a magnet and FIND IT !! before it runs thru any PTO gears. Maybe use a small mirror to hunt it down. I would replace the pin with a 5/16" grade 5 or 8 bolt about 2+ inches long and a locknut. Using an air ratchet (with a 1/2" wrench) the nut can be tightened up and you are fixed. There are oil tubes in the way and with an assortment of wrenches they can be moved around. Using a bolt it will be easier than trying to align and press that OEM pin back in place. This isn't easy, but easier than a split, because all the parts you remove to gain access must be removed anyway for a split.

Sliding coupler needs to be slid rearward to be flush with the front shafts end. The "shifter" has been thrust forward (I assume) violently and is now broken off the stop tab!!! That is why the coupler is too far forward. I don't know if you can get a bar shoved in there and pop the coupler back flush and make it work again or not. If you do, there will have to be caution used to not pull back on the PTO lever too far causing the same scenario again. The groove pin is indeed still in place and that isn't the problem.
