adapt and improvise

Here is how I run a three function loader (lift, bucket, and grapple fork) with two hydraulic remotes on my XT. The first hydraulic remote just runs the loader up/down function normally. The second hydraulic remote, which as you can see, I have modified the lever, runs both the bucket function and the grapple fork. I run the hoses from the second remote into an electro-hydraulic valve multiplier; one set of hoses in; two sets out. Basically how it works is this. The modified handle (which you may recognize as the top of a hydro handle off of a gleaner combine) has that rocker switch in it that is easily operated by my thumb. If I depress the top of the rocker switch, the bucket is operated when I use that hydraulic lever, and the grapple fork is operated if I depress the bottom of the switch and use the same lever. I know that I did not re-invent the wheel here, and electric button/switches have operated grapple forks for years now. But one thing that I do like about this over new fangled grapple buttons, is that I can still feather the grapple fork with system. The newer ones are either stopped when the button is not pushed, or full blast when the button is activated. So far, I like it. Darrel

YOU ARE THE MAN!!! Now come down here to Iowa and put my N7 hydro handle in my 7045 as a side mount throttle lever handle on the console's side. (like it should have been in the first place) Then I can use the switch to turn on and off my sprayer.

Back when I had the jeep, with a v plow on the front, I bodged up a rear plow, for the back...  Did something similar, routed a notch for a push button switch, for its controls, in the cable end.  That thing was just plain ole fun, in the snow, and with a plow at either end, no matter how you skidded, alls you hadda do was shift directions, drop the front plow, and lift the rear facing one, and mash down on the gas pedal...  Dam shame the motor was wore out...

Cracked window sure sticks out like a sore thumb in my picture. I best replace that. Darrel

Great farmer ingenuity! I would put repairing that broken glass several notches down on the priority list as long as it is holding together and the weather is terrible.
