I thought it would be interesting to hear from you guys about the orange (or other colors) you wish you had kept around. For me, I wish I hadn't sold an all original 170 gas with 2,000 original hrs. Sometimes it haunts me, won't find another like it.

I wish you had sold it to me...
or better yet, I wish my old 170 was still like new... Been so far that the treads on the pedals are worn off and the hour meter stopped at 7777.2 in about 1986... so how many houyrs is on that old girl today... and it starts every day to feed year around, and to load bales or push snow or what ever.. |

7080 Every once in a while it would be nice to have another big horse. She was rough but if given the time I could have made it better.

A black stripe 170 diesel bought new in 1972, a maroon belly 7000 new in 78, and an Oliver 1650 diesel with utility front end new in '66. Sold them all when we had the farm auction in '86.

Not so much tractors but implements and parts, my grandfathers 66 combine, The person I got my 190 from had a traction booster drawbar, And just reminded on classic tractor fever today my grandpa had the pieces for the stone trip that pushed the clutch down when plowing for the 8N.

I haven't sold any yet.
I wish I had the D-14 that my great uncle traded for the D-17 that we still have. Traded it to my grandfather back when he was a dealer and my grandfather resold it. I know where it is and it's just sitting out not used but he won't sell it. I think they would look good together as they both are early narrow front end tractors. Then years ago local farm auction and all the allis stuff came from my grandfather new, there was a D-17lll that just would have been nice to have because gramp sold it and we don't have a series lll. At Dad's farm auction I let the International 806 diesel go, wasn't easy cause I spent many hours in the seat of that rascal. But they don't make for very good trailer queens and it was just one of those facts of life I had to accept.

I miss my wd45, but not really hart broke I sold it. somebody stuffed a leyland front end under it, had a hydro cyclinder out of a combine to steer. they cut a whole (with a torch) in the hood to put a chevy power steering pump to run every thing....what a frankenstien mess. all worked, just ugly

Don't know if you consider sold but traded a D21 series 2 for a new 7030. At that time was just a farm tractor and needed something different so really was no way to keep it at that time.

had second thoughts of what I did.i donated a 1949 b allis chalmers to the ag.dept at a school here in east texas.already had 5 wd-45 diesels and a ca with a front mounted 7 foot sickle bar mower, and a gas wd-45.felt real good about it after I did it.those ag kids were so excited.they started work on it emmediatly, and could not thank me enough.they have something to look forward to.....I figured an allis chalmers tractor was better than a needle in the arm.....

j.w. ,,, I would gladly donate a tractor if it helped the local kids stay out of trouble...an give them somewhere to go and maybe learn a trade or some life skills...an I'd be really happy to know it went to a good cause

The first tractor we had when we moved to Colorado, a narrow front C with a side mount sickle bar mower and two way mounted plow. Had bought a CA and thought I didn't need that old slow tractor, wish I could find it again. Mounted a 56 Ford steering gear on it as I couldn't fix the original steering gear.
