8030 3-point system moved to 7050 . How difficult?

Since I am back into the 7050 PTO again for a loose crown nut issue I got to thinking about the feasibility of moving the whole three point system from our 8030 over to our 7050 being the 8030 is a loader tractor and will never be used or usable for three point work like running the snowblower and such. 

Would it be a major undertaking to do such a transplant?  Just curious.

The actual hitch isn't a problem. The hydraulic valve is a problem, as it isn't compatible to a 7000 series hydraulic system.

I'm assuming your 7050 has never had a 3-point hitch?? Then, I must also assume it doesn't have a 3-point hitch valve? or any linkage to operate a 3-point hitch valve?? The 8000 series used Husco brand valves. The 7000 series used A-C designed and built valves. They don't bolt up to each other.

No it does not.  That's what got me to wondering what maybe different between the two and what was interchangeable/transferable between them being physically they looked near identical in basic frame casting layout. 

If all the major components transfer and its just the valve and linkage going into the cab that's the problem that's easily fixed with a trip to the salvage yard. Wink

I got to looking at it more today and I have strong suspicions that our old 7050 was at one time a three point hitch tractor. 
 
The upper valving, although a different design (four bolts Vs three holding the spool stack together), then the 8030 has all the same components in the same locations. Both have three remote spools and one innermost spool with a spring loaded plunger rod pointing towards the cab that's capped off which on the 8030 has a hydraulic line on that spool that goes down under the cab. 

i never really looked at the operator's control labeling and decals in detail before but it appears it was set up as a three point hitch with two remote cylinder controls that was converted over to use the three point height control as a third remote lever while the traction control lever was removed altogether but left its linkages under the cab going back to the valve in place.   

I'm guessing at some point someone just wanted it for field tractor and needed a third remote so they ditched the three point systems and converted it to what it is now.  

Also as far as swapping the whole 8030 three point system over why would it matter if the valve body on one does not match the other  so wouldn't the 8030 valve set just go with its related three point systems on the switch over? 

Even if it didn't they both appear to use a heavy mounting base that uses the same bolt pattern on the three point cover and all other plumbing and line layouts look to have identical routing and fitting sizing as well.
