D15 Industrial mods

Hi folks,
Something I’ve been mulling over doing to my D15, and looking for thoughts on it. It’s a regular D15 gasser with a front loader. I wish I had a backhoe but I don’t. Anyway, I’m thinking of doing 2 mods to it, one would be adding quick attach to the front so that I can use Bobcat attachments, and the other (closely related) would be adding an aux hydraulic port up front, again with quick connects. The quick attach plate would require some fabricating, and I’m fine with that, no biggie there, and it wouldn’t even be very expensive. I think I can get it done for under 500 bucks. The aux hydraulics though might be a little spendy. I understand that pump is good for 10-12 gpm, at best, which is fine for the lower flow stuff like post hole augers and log splitters. It’s not good enough for the higher flow attachments like mowers and whatnot, but I can’t imagine a high flow attachment I would want to put up there. So I’m thinking the 10-12 is probably fine. Assuming that’s true, I would need to either add a spool to the existing valve (or more likely replace the existing valve with a 3 spool), and add some hoses and fittings, most of that I already have. I think I can get that done pretty cheaply too. I think I’m looking at under a grand to make the old D15 able to use Bobcat attachments up front. What do you think about all this, is it crazy? What does that sort of thing do to the value of an old D15, if it’s done right, not all half-ass and crappy?

Return  on a 400 A-C loader is a 90 degree 3/4" molded hose from the bottom of the valve to the left tower/oil tank.

A 'quick attach " looks something like this and PERMANENTLY mounts to a loader frame or bobcat with the standard bucket pins...... Then you MODIFY the bucket, post hole digger, mower deck, etc so that it will "mount" to this frame.. Normally the bucket or other will have a 45 degree plate and the top that you drive under and LIFT UP and it is then hanging on this FRAME.. You then have two pins that drop in at the bottom to retain the bucket / post hole digger / mower................ bucket is pretty standard, but for the post hole digger or mower or ??? You need POWER... So you can use your tractor hydraulics, but you need a hydraulic MOTOR to take the place of the pto shaft for driving the implement.

purchased a D15 with an industrial loader model 200 with the front pump.   15 did not run.  Decided to switch it to a D17 ser 2.  Had to extend frame back to the 17 axle.  In the process, we put on a BObcat quick tach plate.  We had to pry it into place. ( not that bad).  Best thing we ever did.  Among other things, the main use is for moving 1000lb round bales.   ps--could not find anything on a model 200 until we realized it was industrial model.   Smiling everytime we use it!!!!
