 Topic: Best smaller farm stock puller?

What is the best choice for a ready to go puller in stock form? I'm thinking a WC, WD, WD45, and D17 size wise. They would be large enough to compete on most sleds and still not too hard on the wallet. I currently have a WD, WD45, and D17 series IV that can be candidates, what would you do?

Not the series 4. If it has a wide front....it's usually nose heavy for tractor pulling.

I sold the WD this morning, so that particular one would be off the table. The Series 4 is a wide front model, so that one would be out too. This isn't saying another could not take their place. I really don't care to be too competitive, I'm just looking for another hobby to have fun with. I'm looking for a cheap tractor to take to local pulls. Thats it.

The wc wasn't good for much, but it was good for pulling. There isn't a whole lot that can beat them old wc tractors with a wd45 motor. They are way light so you can pull in lights classes and have more movable weight, and they can have a lot of motor put in them. So you can spend or save as much money on a motor as you want!

the 17 sits in the middle-better balance.better gear selection also.

D17 you are generally in the 4500 and above classes.
WC 3000 maybe, but most likely 3500-4500
WD/45 3500 -5000
I guess it depends on what you are aiming for.
Competition hits pretty hard at around 4000 class with JD A's, Oliver 77's and such.
