Hello everyone.
In parts book it says “change effective on tractors equipped w/no -spin 4WA axle only; std 4WA axles use original parts.”
What does this mean and how do you know what you have.
Also in parts book theres sr break on some 4WA parts. Is this the tractor sr number or front axle number.
Thank you

Some units had a Detroit Locker in the differential.  We had several before the fire we got in a tub from the West Allis tractor sale.  This was a limited slip item.
When told "it's not the money,it's the principle", remember, it's always the money..

8010-8070 "FWA" front axles had a metal tag on the axle with a code that told you whether it was a standard axle or a locking axle.      7580/8550's and 4W-220/4W305's "4WD" tractor front axles I assumed there was something stamped into the casting like they would have stamped a serial number.  Your post says 8000 "4WA" which I take to mean an 8010-8070 model.

8000 series FWA tractors have a metal tag on the front axle. The model number will have an N stamped at the end of the number if it has the no spin differential.
