Looks like a corn picker attachment for a WD or WD45. Maybe? Edited by twinsonfarm - 09 Dec 2019 at 3:06pm |

If you can find someone that needs/wants it then save it. I tried for several years to sell/give away some snap coupler equipment. People kept telling me they were comming after it, but never showed up. Most of it went to a consignment auction.

If you don't find a corn picker that needs it... look for a partner, and you've got feet for giant suit-of-armor for an Allis Chalmers Knight...

Those look to be in pretty good shape. You have to remember; "They don't make this stuff anymore". Somebody will want it.

Between the swap meet in Missouri [March} and the swap meet at Hutch [July] I would think someone would want . Something small that can be thrown in the back of the truck would not take much to hand it off to someone on here . GOTO's are also great opportunities to transfer parts all over the country . I did not walk 15 feet from my truck at one Mo. swap meet and someone bought a D-19 Muffler I had that I wanted to get rid of.

Reminds me of the loader lift cylinders for my WD that I’ve been trying to give away for a year.

Scrap it! Everyone will say save it (except me) or that they would take it off your hands as long as you deliver. If it were mine I’d junk it but I don’t allow stuff to sit around.

I lucked out years ago and found someone to take my picker parts. Folks say save it and I have for years now it's time to clean up. Put it on the next load to the crusher.

Is it worth your time to save something you will spend time giving away.

I also have a shed full of working Allis items. I have invited many who have an interest to see it. A few have but most don't. Parts that I have saved for years are now in the pile.

I would say they are worth more to someone than what you can get for scrap right now.

Find a ten year old kid. Have them take a photo and post it on Craig's List, Facebook Market Place or Ebay.
Better to make some money on old parts than send to salvage. |

Just my opinion, since you asked, save them. Someone, sometime will want them.

Pat The Plumber is right about swap meets. You'll likely find a buyer there. Ted is correct in saying that once it's gone it's gone and they aren't going to make any more of them.

I am in favor of saving. I have saved for more than 30 years. I sacked, pushed, rebuilt, sold, traveled and stored. It's time to pass the torch. If you want to save it, please save it at your place. I look at things different these days when I remember friends my age that are dead and the mess some have left for the family to clean up.

Fred said: "Is it worth your time to save something you will spend time giving away." Everyone who has children, by deed, says yes. It comes in virtually every form, which is why it's called 'legacy'. If it were not for those that saved, we would not have what we have today. Imagine a world where the only things that exist, are the things that were developed within the eldest generation's lifetime. |
