A lot of good feedback here. Dave has it covered, T Bone has me laughing. Same wood supply methods he describes. I'm 20 miles west of him.
My 2 cents: Grew up with propane and add on wood stove in the basement, then wood stove in basement in current house. Threw the wood down a chute in basement window. Always had to deal with dust, dirt. Puff of smoke when you open the door to fill them no matter what we did. Switched to an outside boiler after first 10 yrs in this house, have had that for 25 yrs now. House much cleaner, no vague gray tint to ceiling, daughter had respiratory issues that cleared up once we switched to outside system. Considered boiler antifreeze but the cost is high and it boilers over/malfunctions at least once a year so can't justify spending that much for antifreeze. House has both electric heat and a propane boiler on the system, so as long as the water circulates it hasn't frozen.   2400 sq ft ranch house, 15 pulp cord (4x4x8) per year.   In-laws have inside boiler/ natural gas combo (think it is a royal) in the attached garage. In its own separate room with entry door on outside wall so you can bring the wood in and stack it, take the ashes out without as much of a mess. They used to use it a lot, now in their 80's, using the natural gas side of it only. Cement board walls, ceiling to reduce fire hazard.    I like the outside one best.

I have natuarl gas boiler in the garage that heat garage, shop house basement and family room and we lovev it. When i built we put in a electric funace with electric boiler, the day we moved in they put a gas line past, I switched over to gas boiler and added a generator, when we put in the original we put in antifreeze but as I add we didn't add anymore antifreeze
