I went to my local o'reilly auto parts to get an oil filter for my allis C and they brought a wix oil filter out that had coming out of it. The seeds were coming out of the little hole in the center. Is this normal?

Seeds in a filter? That's a new one to me. Sure it isn't a mouse house or something?

Someone this forum cut one of the bypass filters apart and showed pictures some time back. It had hulls and seeds from the cotton I believe in the stuffing.

I would take it back and make them give me another filter and open it in the store to make sure it wasn't the same. I've used Wix filters for years and haven't see that.

Well we tested it with a different brand of filter too. The ones that start with ba... something has it too. You all may want to check your filters. You have to look hard but if u look up in the little hole in the filter you should see some seed shells. I have looked at three different filters all different brands in different suppliers and they all have it. So I am assuming this is normal. Hard to believe everyone has a mouse issue or defect like this.

It is normal and was unknown till the post some time back which disclosed it. Kinda like "Do you what hot dogs are made of?"
