I bought a 9 shank AC min till model 1500 disc chisel the other day. Is it too big for my two twenty? It is turned up some but not over 175 hp. I guess i will let you know for sure this fall. This looks to be an awesome chisel with super high clearance and very well built.

Only problem I see may be traction.

I pull 11 shanks, 3.5" twisted shovels with my 7040, 7060 and 7080 with no problem. I have loaded tires on the 7040 and 7060 and 4 wheel weights on the 7060 and 7080. 140hp on the 7040 and 210hp on the 7060 and 7080. Full stack of weights on the front. Ed is correct traction will be your only problem in some conditions as I have that problem too pulling 10 to 12" deep

We pull a 9 shank with our 220 loaded centers with duals. We had ours put back to a little over stock horse power. If the ground is real hard we have to put it in third. Our 210 does a good job also.

Shows the differances in soils. With the old tired engine we pulled 10 twisted shanks in 4th and we have the fast low range in our tractor. With the new motor we pulled same in 5th and look back now and then just to make sure the hitch pin didnt fall out, LOL. tractor is on 18.4-38s dualled up and fluid on the insides and a rack up front. If it doesnt rain until the fourth of July this coming spring I hope to have some seat cam vids to show off.
oops should have read better, this is just a plain chisel not a disk/chisel.

Would you believe this picture?
![]() In all seriousness I pulled a 5-shank gencoe with a 6080 fwa and like Jordan now pull this AC 7-shank with a 8030fwa and hover between 5th and 6th (power shift) gear depending on if I am driving up a grade or down. Our soil is on the heavy side and some of my fields have a roughly 20' elevation change on a 6 acre field. I agree that when you put the AC next to the glencoe it is built so much heavier and with greater trash clearance. It sure is a nice machine.

Bought an 11 shank Landol disc chisel a few years back just for the 210 I was the 3rd owner. The first guy pulled it with a 4840 than a 4850 FWA, the second guy pulled it with an older Versatile at around 180hp 4WD my 210 has 18.4-42 radial DA duals insides loaded, 2500# on the front and 210hp under the hood and it pulled the landol into pieces, ripped the steel that the hitch was hooked to repaired that and beefed it up and it ripped the front off, so we cut it up and kept the pieces for another machine we are building.

LukeR, anticipation is a meany, isn't it? At 175 hp the easy answer is YEP! If it wont something is not kosher. I pulled a 13 shank IHC with 4" twisted at about 6.5mph with my 7060, 20.8X38 dualled, all four full of fluid, at 225 maybe 250hp. The only thing that old girl backed away from was traction as the others said. You will need plenty of weight on the rear, but other than that you're good to go!! You will be impressed fer sure!! Happy Days!

I pull a 9 shank glenco with my 7080. Full front weight and 2 of the big rear weights on each side as well as cast center duals. Traction is its only problem and its at stock horsepower. Of course my mom used to use a 7580 to pull a 9 shank sunflower disc chisel and it would be all it wanted at times.

You should be fine. 8030 had no problems with 7 shank disc chisel. 11 shank chisl plow is just about right behind the 8030 the 7080 has great plenty of power to handle the 11 shank. I know I'm not exactly comparing apples to apples. In small places and pinch situations I have used the 6080 on the 7 shank for very limited use it is fine. If the ground is as dry as we have only got 2.5 inches in the last 3 months then the clay represents a traction problem.
