After my failed attempt to put larger hubs on my D12 to use a little bit bigger tire,I went new route. I read here about taking auto rims and bolting them right on tractor . Dont care for the looks so, I had a pair of old B rims that were the riveted style (3in.). Knocked out rivets and center came out smooth. Went to local junkyard where they had hundreds of steel rims piled up. Picked out a pair of 1999 Ford Taurus spare tire rims(15x4 1/4) Cut the welds off and recovered the outer rim .The old B centers fit those outer rims like gloves on a rooster. I am old and slow but had 2 1/2 hours in whole project. Now ready for new 5.50 x 15 tires.

The rivet style rims go a lot faster than getting apart those spot welded.

Thanks-Only weight gain amounts to 27# a wheel.I dont think its worth the cost of antifreeze and mess for that amount. Looking for or making some wheel weights for now is todays plan !
