Joe, back in the late '80s our company had a banner year, so they decide to splurge a little on us and had our annual meeting in Camel Back resort. they had golfing, and desert trail rides, etc for us. It was also one of the hottest summers on record. the week we were in town it hit 120. They just kept pushin the water and soda pop on us 'foreigners'. we had a couple go to the hosp.
To those that say it's not as bad because it's a dry heat, what they really should say is it's a dangerous heat because unlike high humid heat, unless one is accustomed to the area, they could be in serious trouble and not know it!
It was a beautiful area though.
I am still confident of this;
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Ps 27

Washed my truck the other morning and came in afterwards soaking wet but it was only 83 degrees outside then I looked at the humidity.........90%. That explained it.🙄

DJ, juss be like ol' shameless and point that hot dry wind up here and by the time it gets here, maybe, just maybe it will not have collected the moisture and give us some nice 75-80 degree days for a month... I sure would appreciate it... Was trying to do some haying last week, cut down bout 30 acres and then the friggen clouds rolled in... an an an,,, I finally decided to start raking it, even though iti looked like rain a coming and it had dried enough... got part of it raked but got dark... next day it was still cloudy with a quick glimpse of sun for a few seconds and go back to lookin like it could rain... I baled what was raked... raked more up, baled that, raked the rest of the field up and I swear ol' Shamers was testin his machine a little bit... just hadn't put the freon in it yet... cuzz had a slight mist and then that went away ... went to the last field and raked half of it and got the balin tractor over to it and started baling... getting down to the last 2 windrows and there we had it, sprinkles on the hood that didn't quit. ... and kept getting worse... finished them and shut her down... Nuther half hour, I might have gotten the last dozen swaths raked and baled.
  Been thinking that between old ma nature cryin and cryin her eyes out all summer, and old man winter with his special blizzards... and shameless in cahoots with them, I think it is going to be a nasty winter coming. Never really hit a hundred degree day up here this year, couple were above 95 but otherwise , the temps stayed down enough that we didn't even put the AC in this year.
 Here is a short vid of Sunday... from my 'office' when baling hay. LOL  Windows use to have a tint in them, now they are getting a foggy cloudy look to them.   Still using the same XT and baler that we got back in 1976...   And been on the job for 42 years, wasn't there retirement after 30 years?

Joe, don't forgets to send me thet hot dry air of yours for the next month.

Nice office view, neat and tidy. Maybe just a tad noisy though, but I could work with that. Smile

Chask,  What did ye say?  LOL

 She really isn't to bad on the ears, but the old D17 Diesel with a straight pipe on her, and workin, You needed them earmuffs real bad... with the foam ear plugs in too...

 I will tell you the worst combination was when I had set the NH 717 chopper knives up real good and chopping corn with my other XT and having to have the back window open to adjust the spout... The sizzle off the knives felt like you was in the dentist chair and getting all your teeth drilled on at the same time. Yup, needed them muffs and plugs there too.

 Joe, when are ye sendin your dry heat my way?
  I've seen more trees blown down and broke off this year since the tornado of 2001 went through here... don't need no more rain or winds for a long time.
