Now,,Ya'll knows Wheelings and Dealings is my middle name,,,I just like it so,,,,, Well,,The other day I was lookin around on the local Marketplace and I seen what turned out to be a LT1 SBC, complete,  except for the starter,,had what looked like all the Fuel Injection system intact. Had this weird azzed "distributor" mounted on the front of the timing cover,,,,,??? The guy had quite a story as he needed an engine for his Dodge trk and found one in El Paso so drove down there and just bought the whole car and pulled it back to C-bad. The trunk had no key so they used a screwdriver to bust it open and,,,,and,,,there sits this complete LT1 engine,,,,!! The car owner did not know bout the engine in the trunk ,,,or forgot,,or ??? Anyway, the engine is NOT locked up and exhaust ports are nice and clean,,so I offer $50 and he jumps on it and loads it in my trk. After decoding the engine number,,,,it is out of a 1997 Corvette with the 370 HP,,,, I expect there was one angry corvette owner in El Paso that lost his car,,engine,,,,??? I'ma gonna see if I can put a spark in it to run long enough to tell of it's condition,,but the starter is different than the regular SBC's,,,so I'm get one to check compression and see if it will run,,,,,I "Might" be able to make me some money on this one,,,,ClapClap

Good find, Joe! Hope you make a wad of money on it and the PO doesn’t report it as “stolen.”
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY
