What is the correct wheel tread for a CA for a pin hitch two bottom plow?  Im currently working on my CA and want to get the wheels set for plowing, but I do not know the spacing.

The right tires should run in the furrtow and be far enogh out so that the plow gets a full cut. The left tires and be set out to whatever is comfortable to you as the ride on the uncut ground I don't have the measurements but adjust the right rear wheel so there is 14" space between it and the plow and the front right tire so it is directly in line with the rear tire. Before I plow, I run the left tires up on 6-8" blocking (to simulate the rear tires in the furrow), level the plow, and set the beaming screw.

Joe, my CA pick up plow manual says  "Adjust tractor rear wheels to 52 inch tread for either 2-12 inch or 2-14 inch bottom plows".  I would think that would be a good starting point.    HTH

On my 51 CA I run both rear tires one space from all the way in. In other words put the wheel block in the last hole and the 2nd last hole and eccentric between. Also if you have any way to add rear weight, do so. The CA is a little light for a 2-12 or 14. Also a good time to see if your traction booster is working. It's a lot of fun.

Leon has a good point; I had rear and side weights on my CA when plowing...and needed them. Without the weights, the rear tires would slip (even with the TB working good) and the front end would lift when I lifted the plow. Sure worked great with the weights...and the TB really was able to show off it's stuff.
