Are B's supposed to be real easy to steer? Mine has always required 2 hands just about. I tried putting a spinner knob on it once, and I took it off after about 2 minutes. Actually made it harder. The gear box has plenty of lube in it.

The military manual says the spindles, tie rod ends, and drag link ends should be greased with chassis grease every 8 hours of operation.TM9-782

jack the front end up so the tires are an inch off the ground. you should be able to spin the steering wheel with 2 fingers... If not, remove the steering rod at one end and test the front end and the gear box individually.. Narrow it down to what is dragging.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

They steer pretty easy normally, till you install a loader on em'....  LOL!  Then ya gotta' make sure you're moving first before you turn it. Makes it much easier on you and mostly the steering box!

Wow! Sounds like I DEFINITELY have a problem. Thing is, it's been that way since day one, and I never thought anything of it, until a buddy said his new B steered very easily.

Check the front bearings. And also when you have the front end off the ground, check the spindles if they are sloppy. I had a CA with a wide front and when a I put new bearings in and rebuilt the spindles you could steer it with one finger.

Also you make sure your tires have 1/4 inch toe in. that made a big difference in my Ferguson TO35. as others have said my B will also steer with 1 finger

I sneaked out to the barn before school and jacked the front up. Still steers about the same.
Thanks
