 have a allis chalmers with no writing on it pretty much i found on it what i think to be the serial number it says tractor no. 27916 does any one have any idea what year or model this is or where else on the tractor i can find the info thanks

If that's the tractor # there should be letters in front of it like WC,B,C,CA to show the model, could be one of several. Post a picture.

i am pretty sure it is an a in front of it it is pretty wore will look again tommorow my best guess from pics i have saw of different years it is in the 50's somewhere i will try to get a pic tommorow really need to get a head gasket for it to get it runnin again

Couldn't be an A with that #, the A's look unstyled like from the 30's and are a pretty big tractor. Could be a 1953 CA, then it will be a 4 speed tranny with spin out rims. Same motor as the B's and C's.

If it's a CA it probably has a hand clutch but not always.

To confirm it's a CA, 24" rims that have rails running diagonally to adjust width, 4 speed transmission, and originally, there was a large plate floor-pan under the seat.   Those items were unique to the CA.
