Well, I guess I should have been more specific. I meant I wrote a blog about it. I should have added that they must have primed them because we have found primer on our tractors.

I take back what I said...I don't think they primed the tractors before final orange coats. If you watch some of the old 16mm films of the tractor assembly line. It shows them putting bare metal parts on the tractors and then it rolls right into the orange paint booth. The only parts that have anything on them before painting is some of the cast parts.

Thanks for the update. It would sure be interesting to know the formula for that original paint that needed no primer except for cast parts! |

I HAVE HURD BACK WHEN THAY USED LEAD IN PAINT YOU DID NOT HAVE TO USE PRIMER.
