I looked into the 3M Paint Preperation System, as well as the disposable Primer gun, and I have to say, I like the idea of the bag liners colapsing as the paint is used, since it would seem to keep the paint at the inlet to the gun. They even have a youtube of it, completely upsidedown, and still getting even paint???
Thanks again for all the ideas, and sorry about the mix-up I created.

There you go MUM. Throw the gravity feed cup away and get an adapter to screw on in its place and go to the disposable cup liners. As you spray the liner will collapse and creates a vacuum in the liner and you can spray at any angle and always have paint at the tip. Pretty simple and not as much cleanup when finished.

The gun in a above photo using a remote pressure pot and fluid line will paint ceilings all day. A good airless rig with a laquer tip should be a great tractor's bottomside painter. Cup guns and gravity guns are just not designed to spray cielings or tractor bottoms. Mr. Retired House Painter said that.

Me thinks Eric is the one that covered the OP well.
Is the way I do it with the pick up tube on the siphon one.
Guess I will keep my antique siphon one out of retirement and get the gravity HVLP one for the top side. :-)
