What should seal kits cost for WD45 lift cylinders |

Took a pair of lift cyliinders apart to rebuild them the other day. I went to a local hydraulics shop to get seals and the guy quoted me $45 a piece for a seal kit, and that he would have to order them. They are a more modern type of seal--and not the origianl felt seal. Just wondered what kind of prices others are paying for teh same parts. Does this seem reasonable? thanks. |

if you are refering to the cyls. that lift the arms on the back side, the are called chevron packing , on a wd or wd45 they run about $35 to $40 dollars, just did mine this spring

When I did my remote cylinder for the 45 about 6 years ago, I think I paid $8 for the vee packing. I had it ordered where I worked and they didn't add any mark up on it.
