Took a pair of lift cyliinders apart to rebuild them the other day. I went to a local hydraulics shop to get seals and the guy quoted me $45 a piece for a seal kit, and that he would have to order them. They are a more modern type of seal--and not the origianl felt seal. Just wondered what kind of prices others are paying for teh same parts. Does this seem reasonable? thanks.

Check with Baum Hydraulics, download the last section or two of their catalog. www.baumhydraulics.com

When I did my remote cylinder for the 45 about 6 years ago, I think I paid $8 for the vee packing. I had it ordered where I worked and they didn't add any mark up on it.
