I need some new hunting boots. I like the pac style boot. Need one I can walk in and one that keeps me warm sitting in deer stand. Lets hear the pros and cons of what your experience is. Thanks, Tracy

SORELL - Pack boots - Then depending on how cold as they are goof to around  - 10F but if above freezig feet will sweat - can get different thickness liners or doule socks

I will not forego Wool Socks in the woods.  Sweat bad as a Old Man(I Am one) so as sit down at the end of a walk out, tend to open coat to allow humidity to blow out.  Muck Boots do not give that break but wools wick the sweat away and do not get squishy.

I have Cabelas Comfort Trac insulated rubber boots. Very comfortable sitting and walking. Pretty warm even though not real heavy. For heavy pack boots have Cabelas with Gore Tex. Very bulky but warmer on much colder days.
IMO maintaining core body temperature is very important to help keep hands and feet warm. The Milwaukee heated jacket I have has been a big part of long sits in stand.

I like the old military "Mickey Mouse" boots, they are heavy but worth the extra weight due to their warmth, just wear regular socks inside, tie loosely and slip on. You can find them at military surplus stores or on ebay, thats where I got my last pair. They do run larger than size says and they will last a long time.
