In my AC B parts catalog I see numerous references to M.N.I.  For example, next to the part number listed for the front wheel there is a note that reads "prior to B-26525 see M.N.I.".  Another example, next to the torque tube number listed a note reads "used prior to year 1951, see M.N.I."

What is MNI?

Master numerical index. The master numerical index is a book that's about 700 pages that list part numbers and what they fit. They where generally updated every 6 months. If the part number was changed you would have to look in the M.N.I to see what it was changed to. I have 2 M.N.I books and 2 different fiches. They are a very helpful to ID parts.

Outstanding!  I love learning something new about these tractors and the company that made them.  Thanks.
