I was going through a box of parts and found this little lever. it is painted AC orange and is a new old stock part. I have no idea what it is or what it goes to. Can anyone ID this part? Thnaks Matt

There is no casting numbers on it. I was thinking is a lever for a injection pump? Matt

It's a conversation thingy and so far it's doing a good job!
Actually, I'm lost for words as to what it really is and am curious myself.

Matt I believe that might be a part for the pitman on a sickle, like on a bean head or one of the newer sickle mowers. Just an idea.

Some limited travel control lever, probably inside a console, or beside a panel. brake lock? My first thought was knotter part but I've never seen an AC knotter up close. Not a big help, sorry. karl f

I'm surprised that no one has correctly identified the part. It was certianly obvious the moment I laid eyes on it' That is one of two (as needed) framistan levers or more correctly mechanicl connecti0on devices for the discombobbulator on the muffler bearing on a Model G Heavy Use tractor!!!! Darn!guys get it together for once!

Appears to be stock unit...Krptonite or unobtanium type was far more popular. Probably why it was unsold........

I thought it was the engagement handle for the Flux Capacitor so you could take your Allis back to the future. If it worked that way, would we still have Orange tractors being built?

Beeman and CTucker, I know that was sorta cheap humor on our part, but darnit, ya gotta work with what you have. I can't think of any thing that I've ever seen that was close to this one. I suspect the ball end was hooked to something that slid back and forth, the hole might have had a shaft through it and the jaws would catch and hold a pin, kinda like the mechanical trip on a plow wheel. Sorry, that's as close as I can come.

The ball end looks like the rod connection to the choke on an 8N Ford. The big hole might be a pivot point and the small hole for attaching a return spring. I have no clue what the forked end would connect to or operate.

Another thought I had was as a trip lever for a weight device on a thresher or combine for weighing or bagging grain. If a shaft with an eccentric pin revolved in the mouth, it would cause the lever to partly rotate, maybe tripping something. The hole looks as if it has a keyway cut in it for mounting to a shaft. I know this is farfetched, but is as close as I could come. I have never seen the weigh device I'm referring to. I have seen one working at an elevator once, but do not remember how it was built or operated. I remember going to our elevator once and seeing the steam engine and jackshaft and belts that drove the elevator belts and cleaners, but I was probably 5-6 years old and as how I just turned 70 Feb. 4, that was a long time ago!!!

It's a choke lever for an older Stromberg carb. Possibly off a Ford.
The linkage connects with the ball on the bottom end, the top flips the choke butterfly with enough slack for the choke to open a little when engine vacuum comes up.

I could see that. It looks very similar to the same type of lever on JD and IH planters I have seen. The last checkrow stuff is pretty old though, I think it's the newer orange paint, although computers are not accurate with color.
