I used my 8070 to move the bales from the fire, as I got 70+ alfalfa and brome round bales that are really nice, but fire department saved those first. I can't thank them enough. So I used the loader on the old girl to back drag dirt into some of the fires next to the bales. I had the disk on a different tractor and went to that next to work the edges of the fires that was still smoldering with small fires. Strong winds to boot. Disk would have been on my 8070 to start harvest as we are extremely dry, but batteries were shot and didn't have time to replace until a couple weeks ago. So my MXU 110 red one got hooked up to the disk. It struggled to pull it, but it got the job done. Need to get the disk on my Challenger 535 as that is much faster tractor down the road and when the flames are rolling, one don't got time to jack around at 19 mph. Neighbor had a fire on a vacant yard the other day on a house with 50mph winds and luckily it didn't spread, but went to assist with that one too. That was going on the same time with the fires south of Lincoln Ne. So the disk is staying on till the fire situation improves around here.

Finally got all my parts and pieces together to mount my left hand disc plow and hand lift onto one of my G's, still got to get the weight installed, and get a lift chain I'm happy with, was beginning to think I'd never get it mounted! ![]() |

Got WD 'Grandpa' out for a spin! After getting the plow out of the shed I noticed that said WD wouldn't be too hard to get out for a little time in the sun. Hadn't happened for a few years. Well, I didn't have time that day and things got put back in front of it. Now, the plows going back in the shed and open space appears again. Not missing this opportunity! I grew up on this old thing. The sound of those straight cut gears is music for my soul. Anyway, in all the dusty glory; ![]() Edited by IBWD MIke - 30 Oct 2022 at 7:04am |

Well, some of you pick corn or pick beans. I'm a city boy, so I have to make do mowing oak leaves with the Allis B and Woods mower. And do I ever have a bumper crop of oak leaves this year! Went out yesterday and mowed for a couple of hours chopping those buggers up.

Used the D17 LP with loader to help remove the snow drifts from back of farmyard, and the WD with the freshly rebuilt snow blade to plow out the rest of the yard. More snow on the way in the next few days. Thanks, Shameless!!

Put new tires on the front of the 720. One of the old ones had developed a slow leak, don't want to fight that when it's time to move snow! ![]() |

I was helping clean out a shop my dad got a couple of years ago.
There was a bunch of Allis’s in the shop that we’ve been getting running over time so they’ll move. The picture is of a 1957 A-C WD45 with factory power steering and a A-C 770 4 row air planter ![]() |

Used the D-15 to scrape up the area that I had pile up old lumber with nail in them and tree limbs after picking up the nails and putting black dirt top to plant grass next year. |

Rebuilt the carb on my WD45. I'll re-install it tomorrow and she'll be back up and runnin'. Had a problem with float hanging up occasionally on the side of the float bowl causing it to run too rich or flood itself. A slight tweak to line it up and it moves freely now. Put some new parts in it while it was apart as I had a kit in stock.

Ran my 160 with the 6’ Dixie cutter to mow some weeds in the pasture field. Cold, but I was still smiling 2 hours later.

I'll second that motion! Very fuel efficient way to mow. I had a 5' Dixie Cutter, good little mower. Sold it after the 7' Mohawk came home.

![]() Well I see I’m back to sideways pictures. Ugh, anyway mowed my yard hopefully for the last time in 40 degree weather. Over 2” of rain in the past 2 weeks and warm weather has made it grow again. Can’t believe I had to do that but it was getting shabby looking. |
