I have an AcuRite. Works good and the batteries in the outside unit last over a year. It has a solar cell in it to power a small fan to circulate air over the temperature sensor otherwise the sun shining on it would make the reading inaccurate. Measures rainfall, humidity, temperature, wind speed and direction.

Klinemar, I tried one of those rain gauges a few years ago. I found it wasn't accurate compared to a straight sided one a few feet away.

NONE of the cheaper ones work! lol! have 2 here that lasted only a couple years so we gave up on them and just look in a 5 gallon buck for how much rain we had!
Wind tore them up since the plastic is of poor grade that they are made of.

I have a lacrosse it's got every thing I can go back 7 days and itll keep track on your net work drive if you let it this one I've had for 2 years the previous one lasted 15 years till we had 120mph winds that was the last speed it recorded when the anemometer blew off. Newer one keeps better rain totals the previous one I had to take rain guage down in winter. New one the outside transmitter is solar powered and sits up on a 10 ft pole temp and baro transmitter are still battery powered and are in the shade. I still have a manual rain guage in the garden so I can track watering.

Hey! I've got a favorite weather station that's been a game-changer for me. Last year, we had this intense storm roll through, and I was completely caught off guard. So, I did some digging and found this awesome model on https://ambientweather.com/all-weather-stations. It's been a total lifesaver! Now, I can keep tabs on rainfall right from my living room.

I have had excellent experiences with “Davis” weather stations. They are spendy but seem to last and are accurate. My first one lasted 12 years. I’m 3 years into my second one and no problems yet. I keep records for the conservation district and there is 3 more Davis stations keeping records as well and all have performed flawlessly. Just my 2 cents…
