I can't get the hose from the water pump to the radiator to seal up. I have taken the hose off and flip it over and it still leaks at the water pump connection. No leaks at the hose to radiator connection. Hose is pretty much new and I tightened the clamps down really tight. It will drip out just sitting there, not running, and it is not a small drip. I have taken the pump off and it appears to be fine, no cracks or holes in it. Any ideas on what is going on or how to fix it?

It's probably the water pump seal leaking onto the hose. Been there....dun that.

I assume you mean the gasket between the water pump and the block? If so, I have a new one on the way so I can put the pump back on. That would be great if that fixes it!

if the pump outlet is rusted and pitted it can leak even if tight. smear some silicone sealer on there and then slap the hose on and let it sit overnight then refill

Yup, after replacing two hoses on our D17 I looked really close and noticed it was the water pump..... |

The weep hole on the front of the pump is leaking down onto the hose is most likely your problem as most few other have stated.Sometimes it is hard to tell.

Same thing happened to me. Replaced hose, gasket and applied sealer and it still leaked. Replaced water pump and leak stopped.

Thanks for the help, it was the pump not the hose or gasket. Stole the water pump off my parts tractor and it is working good now, no leaks. Thank goodness for parts tractors sitting around!
