WD45 steering parts

I have a steiner parts book,and going through it,I have found no source for steering box internal parts,and have not had much luck on the web.
 Any one know of a source?
 Asking because I have a lot of slack in the front wheels,narrow front 57 Wd45.
I have a shop manual ordered but not here yet.

 Most of the suppliers have items (aftermarket) in stock ready to ship. I use Sandy Lake a lot, but I know the other Allis folks should have what you need. There can be one or several issues causing the slop. Large key and key way worn. Bearings in wheels and or vertical shaft can be worn also. Even the bearings supporting the steering input shaft can have issues. 
Several threads on this too. Garden_guy was working on his WD with similar issues.

There's not a lot of aftermarket parts for these. AGCO is your best bet or matching up the seals and bearings at a bearing supplier.

I have a couple of NOS sector gears for the W_ tractors.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.

I'd bet the play is in the setscrew between the spindles on the back side of the pedestal.  Straight cut keyway and a setscrew are all that hold the spindle casting in place.

Dave is probably right. I may have mis-spoke there. On most of the bearings I go to local bearing house and match them up. I did get a few things from AGCO to. Which may have came from Steiner which may have been what I call aftermarket.
Dig into it and see what you need. I think I have most of the bearing numbers listed in one of my threads.
Jack it up (safely block it up) and start wiggling things. Usually you can find it pretty easy. The bearings on each end of the input shaft took me just a little longer to figure out.:)
I had done the vertical shaft bearing and seals and key, and it still did not steer any better. Those horizontal bearings and races were shot. 
We will need to see some pictures of this 57 WD45 Narrow front too!

Not the prettiest girl in town,awkward getting on and off,clutch pedal hard to reach for a short fatty,smokes some,and hard to keep straight mowing,but I love the old thing!
 It do have a lot of character.

Been so busy I haven't made much progress unfortunately (other than acquire parts and tools, mostly from Steiner). But both of my WD narrow front tractors seem to have different steering problems.

One tractor, both front wheel bearings are shot (the hubs slide in and out a good half inch). Hoping it will drive much better after this is fixed.

On the other one, those bearings are tight... But going down the road holding the wheel straight, the dang front tires dance left and right with the road!

Another thing that makes them steer funny is having a single rib tire on one side and a dual rib on another side. I know this, because one of my tractors is this way as well.

Your thread has the best instructions and pictures on all the bits and pieces that go into that pesky pedestal. I figure I need to look there (and at the keyway/key), and maybe the steering linkage itself on mine.

Thanks for the pictures of the 45! Awesome tractors! Yes to all the negatives. A longer left leg is mandatory on one of these. Hummmmmm Chiropractor always said I have one leg longer. I thought it was from some of the ancestors coming from By God West Virginia! Could be a genitic defect to run a WD series tractor?:)

I am hoping if I ever get this narrow front end WD45 together with mostly new front steering parts that its a lot easier to handle!
