I’m the only one that said anything about insurance not Ted. I didn’t call anyone s crook and my post was about the the EBAY seller not you. Not really sure how you got a crook out of someone be an insurance guy. Sorry your feathers got ruffled , I was just trying to let people know that he doesn’t count on the parts he sales for his main income . He has buildings full of parts with shelves to keep things organized. I’ve bought a couple of things from him and talked with him for about an hour or so. Nice guy he just has very pricey parts.
Thanks & God Bless

This guy is in the insurance business. He has a few guys working for him. They buy tractors cheap and dismantle. Always asking double the price. Don’t bother with “make an offer “ as he only will come down a few bucks anyway.
Thanks & God Bless

The really expensive slab weights are the one without the hole in them.

That’s a snap coupler b with the cultivator; if it’s not stuck it should be worth the asking price.

I would honestly pay more for one like that then one thats been repainted. I like original condition and that one doesn't look bad as is. Now $1500 is a bit much and im guessing by the oil filter it hasn't ran for quite some time.

I'd buy all I could find if someone was selling them for $37 each!

Not really the repos are not exactly like the originals,a good used original wt would be worth more than a new repo since weights don't really wear out but could be damaged which would lower the collector value.Sort of like repo manuals I rarely buy one just wait to find an original. If anything the $165 would be the lowest price a good original wt would sell for.

He also often misrepresents stuff. For instance, he once had rear wheels from a WC listed and said they also fit WD.

Unless they are something special, like the slab weights, most of the guys that are asking $1/lb. for weights (around here) are doing just that; asking. The ones that are selling are going for about half that price.

Listed at only $1085.00, maybe I'm sitting on a gold mine with a pile of these in my shop, and I never knew it . . . .
