I have them completely backed off but they were pretty nasty got them all cleaned up they do move when the brake pedals are pushed. The rear wheel hit hard when you move them a little bit. I posted a picture under WD45 right before this post of a lever that I don't
know what it controls. The only problem I have with the shift lever is that it does not act like it wants to go in first gear but all other gears seem fine

Eng off. Both rear wheels off the ground. Transmission in any gear. You should be able to turn one rear wheel and the other rear wheel should turn the opposite way. This would confirm the brakes aren't the problem. So, if both rear wheels will turn and it kills the engine when you try and move it, the rear end has been run out of oil and the pinion bearings are welded together. There is a square headed fill plug under/behind the foot clutch pedal. Oil should be right there not down or empty.

If you cannot turn either rear wheel either direction, while jacked up, that has to be a brake issue. Final drives are sealed and I cannot imagine anything wrong with them.

What if the transmission is stuck in two gears at the same time?

With both rear wheels off the ground, even if the tranny was stuck in two gears and cannot turn, one wheel would rotate forward while the other would rotate backwards via the differential. He says neither wheel will turn, which has to be brakes.

Even if the transmission is stuck in 2 gears if you jack up both rear tires and turn one the other should turn backward as long as brakes or something else doesnt have it locked up

Could it possibly be a seized pinion bearing?

One of my WF's (my grandfather's) had set for many years. Neither rear wheel would turn. When I got it apart the pinion bearing was rusted and froze solid. It was a lot of work!

Had one rear brake stuck on my B when I first got it, despite the brake bands being completely rotted off all their pins. Could see the drum "twitch" slightly when rocking the wheel back & forth but it was locked solid.

If the WD is anything like the B, with a "mouse door" in the brake housing, crud can build up in the space below the drum/band assembly and lock things up pretty well. I got probably a pound of silt/rust/brake dust out of each side.

I dropped a couple of mothballs in the bottom and in the toolbox.  No more mice and snakes.  Lasts quite a while.
