You are close to me, relatively speaking.  I''ve got 2 WD's with cracked blocks and am looking at alternatives.  "Stoppng the restoration" - were you restoring for a work tractor or for show?
Been wondering why an entrepreneur hasn't come out with a new block for these, or a new engine, or something...

Are the blocks cracked where they cause a bad leak or the just the typical between the liners stuff?

Thanks for all the replies.
The reason I am selling is because my restoration purpose was for a show tractor and I wanted the original everything that came with the tractor in 1956. If I install a different engine then it would not be the same. Maybe I am a little odd in that way.
Later I talked to my sons and neither one of them are interested in it. I really do not want to haul it around to show and I do not want to keep it sitting in the barn. So I think the best is to sell it. I did not get far in the restoration. I started with the engine, I did not see the crack until I removed it and happen to see it , I think in a different light.

I believe it is now sold. A fellow is to pick it up tomorrow. If the deal falls through for some reason I will repost it.

Thanks for all the responses.
Sincerely,
Dave
