A stock WD and WD45 run 1700 to 1725 RPM wide open no load. ...1400 is rated (PTO) speed.

Many, if not most organized clubs allow only certain RPM's for a specific model of tractor....some say stock (1700 rpm).....some allow 10% over (1870 rpm)...others 20% etc....even others may allow 3000 rpm max.......If you install a D17 governor spring, it should net you 2000 rpm.

WD and 45s had a heavy duty spring you buy at Allis that made the engine run over 1800 rpm, although I do not know if you cane still get them.

Call Sandy Lake. They should be able to run one down for you.
