My wd doesnt get nearly the high rmps it should. Took the governor off and I think the trust bearing ( I think that's what they are called) are shot. I shook that metal piece that slides between the wieghts and the bearings rattle. Also the larger piece that the bearing rides on is worn badly in a spot. The worn spot is like the texture of a very bad brake rotor, like steel on steel. What should I replace?

Probably a new governor spring/plunger. What is your top RPM no load with the governor adjusted properly???????????
