Used some bad words, feel bad, trying to install new gaskets on a set of lights, but no luck. Scraped the inner reflectors of old gaskets but can't seem to figure out how to wrap a new gasket and get the darn thing back together... Any thoughts?

It seems I might have come up with a few new words when I did the ones on my WC. I walked away a couple times and did something else for a while but finally got them together. I think I did trim them a bit on the end in order to get it all in?? Been too long to remember for sure, but it did seem to be a PITA to do.

I had a heck of a time with them also and there doesn't seem to be any instructions, or I haven't looked far enough? I did one today and here is how I did it right or wrong.
I installed the reflector into the housing. Then actually inverted (turned inside out) the rubber ring and installed it next, into the grove around the reflector. Seemed to fit pretty well but needed six hands to hold it in place. Then set the glass lens on top of the gasket. And with another pair of hands installed the ring. every thing fit and is tight. This is the back work like on the D17.
