WD Head?

I am redoing my WD ,so went and found a head to rebuild,got it sent it out for complete rebuild, then reliesed that my WD has a 3 in. head but the rebuilt one is a 4 in.Will this work or must I find a 3 in. I do have several pushrods and a rocker arm from a WD45 parts tractor in the shop.If need to replace doe`s anyone have rebuilt 3in. to trade? THANKS Obie

As long as you have the matching valve cover and water manifold for the tall head it will bolt right up. Same push rods and valve train in either head. Kip

I don't understand how the pushrods are the same, the head is an 1" taller??

Stands are different but since you bought a whole head....I imagine it has everything you need...so all you gotta do is bolt it to your engine.

The push rods are the same...the difference is in the rocker arm stand height (shorter stand for the taller head). The head will bolt right on and you will need the shorter valve cover.  Rick
