    Posted: 17 Sep 2016 at 3:44pm
What would cause the shifter only in 4th gear on my WD (straight shifter) to not go back as far as the other gears?
4th gear does work but it feels like it is barely engaged I haven't driven it far enough to know if it will stay in or pop out of gear but seems to stay in just around the yard.
Could this be a bent shift fork?
Is it a big deal to remove the shift tower or will 100 pieces fall out of place when I do so?

Sounds like there's nothing to worry about after all.
Didn't know there were others that were the same way.
Thanks guys for your input!

4th gear only couples to another gear while all the others slide the width of the gear to engage.   MACK
