OK what the differencein the heads, to the running of the tractor?
Cooler, ported different?
Why the taller WD45's heads ?
Gaskets, Valve Size, Guides, and the Push Rods are the same? right?

The 45 head has more cooling and the 45 head gets the spark plug closer to the center of the combustion chamber. Other than that, I'm not real sure.

The Tall head, introduced on the WD in mid 51 and carried over to the WD45, moved the plug toward the center of the combustion chamber and eliminated the little pocket the plugs sat up in before. It unshrouded the plug for less fouling and increased compression just a little.

Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.
